“Because of the LORD’s faithful love we do not perish, for his mercies never end. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness!”

– Lamentations 3:22-23

About

Hi!

My name is Jackie! I am so excited that you found your way to my site! This is something that I have had in mind for the last two years and am just really getting started with it, so please bare with me as I figure it out. Starting a blog with my life experiences and thoughts on different topics is something my husband, John, has been encouraging me to do for awhile. Honestly, I’ve been putting it off because of severe doubt in myself. I kept asking myself; “Why would anyone want to read what I have to say?” (and you might not, which is okay) However, over the last two years as my husband and I have discussed life changes or topics affecting families, John kept encouraging me that these would be good things to write about in a blog. After spending a lot of time in prayer I have decided to give it a try and trust God to have a plan. So, here I am trying to figure out how to do this thing called life while trusting God to guide me. I hope you enjoy the journey!

A little bit about me:

I am a stay-at-home mom of two entering into my second year of homeschooling. This has been a huge challenge and blessing. It will probably be a major topic of discussion here. I’m hoping it will be a blessing to those going through the homeschool journey or possibly help someone who is interested in homeschooling. I also struggle with a few different chronic illnesses that have definitely had a huge impact on my faith and family. Working through those things seem like a never ending process. Again, I hope anything I write will be a blessing to those in similar situations.

A few fun facts about me are:

I am an avid reader and lover of all things books! I am also a lover of all things animals! I grew up on a farm raising sheep, chickens, and rabbits. Even though my farm days are behind me (for now) I have translated that love of animals into rescuing animals! We currently have rescue dogs, cats, rabbits, and a hamster!

I have been married to my husband, John, for 11 years! He is currently pursuing his M.Div and ordination into the Anglican Church while working as the Dean of Students at one of our local Christian Schools. I am so proud of him and all he does for our family! I am sure he will be making appearances on here as well.
